Special Public Hearing
for the First Reading of the proposed changes
to the FY14-FY15 Budget and Town Fees

in the Meeting Hall of the H.V.F.C.

Town Council seeking changes to the Town's Tax Rate from
$0.12 / $100 of the Kent County assessment to $0.15 / $100  ($0.03 increase)
and a increase in the Trash & Recycle Fee from
$210.00 / Year to $250.00 / Year   ($40.00 increase)
These increases would add approximately
$8,200.00 to the Towns Budget Revenue and replace State Funding cutbacks.

Just a reminder
Chapter 400, Article II, of the CODE of HOUSTON ;
Height of Grass, Growth of Weeds, and Maintenance of Trees and Other Vegetation.

The maximum height for grass is 6" (six inches).

Trees and other vegetation are to be trimmed to a minimum height of 
10 ' (ten feet) over sidewalks, and
14' (fourteen feet) over streets or right-of ways.

Article III ; Storage of Detrimental Objects or Materials (Objects unsuitable for outside storage)
Article IV ; External Placement of  Interior Furniture

Town officials will periodically check properties and post the property for any violations.
